1. We launched a new website.
When you are a small team creating for other brands, you do not always justify the time to focus on your own brand. In 2018, we decided to practice what we preach. With the launch of our new website, we’ve made it easier to navigate and get in touch with the team. Our site is ever-evolving and will periodically feature new case studies as we create impactful brands for our partners.
2. We’ve settled down – sort of.
For years, the C+G team was spread across the United States. Now, every C+G partner thrives in the Washington metropolitan area, making it easier to meet with client and streamline deliverables. We also rent office space occasionally at Creative Colony downtown Silver Spring, Md.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”550″][vc_column_text]
3. We’ve scaled up.
For 7 of the 10 years we’ve been in business, C+G was a one-man band. In year 10, we’ve added a project manager, a brand strategist, a designer, and a full-stack developer to the production team.
When I founded Clay+Group in February 2008, a “brand creative agency” was the farthest thing from my mind. I knew I liked working with people and designing flyers. It started as a student organization helping other student organizations with engagement and exposure. Small businesses in the Northeast Ohio area began to take notice when we began advertising student events at their businesses. Impressed with the layout and design of flyers, small businesses began to hire us (for pennies, literally) to design marketing materials for them.
The agency that has earned the respect of national nonprofit organizations and small businesses across the country started as a student organization at Kent State University.
We strive every day to lead in greatness, and we work with our partners to leverage and engage their communities with purpose. We do not fall victim to the status quo, and we have scaled our team to support the mission we’ve lived for over a decade – “Progress. Every Day.”
